It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Andrew Hood of Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta, who passed away on November 21, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Andrew Hood to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Douglas Hood and Jane Hood; his brothers, Harold, David and Jack; and his grandson Kyle.

He is survived by: his daughters, Chris Velsink (John) and Tracy Chomin (Dwayne); his grandchildren, Matt, Nicole and Kaitlyn; his great grandchildren, Madison, Marek, Nathan, Maddex, Lucas and Maxwell; and his sisters, Edith and Audrey.

A celebration of life was held on Saturday, December 6th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Evergreen Funeral Home (16204 Fort Rd NW, Edmonton, AB T5Y6A2).

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Alberta Diabetes Foundation.
