He was predeceased by: his wife Gladys; his daughter Susan; and his parents, Mary Scheidl (Schulzke) and Otto Scheidl. He is survived by: his sons, Duane (Mary Ann), Barry (Mary), Colin (Carol) and Hillery; his son-in-law Steve Richmond; his sisters-in-law, Delores Scheidl, Elizabeth Catherine Sullivan and Marina Marion Coughlan; his grandchildren, Tyler Kryg, Krystle Nafziger (Jamie), Jessica Scheidl (Darcy Ziegler), Joey Scheidl (Mackenzie Loitz), Hillary Scheidl, Robyn Connelly (Owen), Joshua Scheidl, Cassandra McCutheon (Matthew) and Kimberley Lewis (Evan Specht); his great grandchildren, Casey, Finnegan Oram, Penelope Ziegler, Jack Bargus, Carter, Madonna Nafziger, Dylan, Samuel McCutcheon, Robyn and Lili Wolter; and his siblings, Otto Jr., Tony (Elise), Josephine (Ed), Leo (Delores), Angie (Roy) and Ed (Delores). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Our Lady of Angels Catholic Church - Fort Saskatchewan (10004 101 St, Fort Saskatchewan, AB T8L1V9).
