Joan Sumka Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joan Sumka (Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta), who passed away on October 12, 2025, at the age of 100, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Steve; her parents, Henrietta Cooper and Fred Cooper; and her siblings, Eugene, Hollins Cooper and Audrey Wray.
She is survived by: her children, Ann Louise Scott (Roger), Greg (Rita) and Marshall Sumka; her grandsons, Ian Scott (Erica Tiong), Graeme Scott, Michael Sumka (Janice) and Mark Sumka (Angela Ratzburg); and her great grandchildren, Avery Tiong-Scott and Evan Sumka.
