Shirley Briggs Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Shirley Briggs (Gibbons, Alberta), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 15, 2026 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her significant other Andy; her parents, Jack Thompson and Della Thompson; her siblings, Elsie Melick, Evelyn Cossey, Nona Careless, Gladys Hertzberg, Ralph Thompson, Don Thompson and Lawrence Thompson; and her significant other George Bland (Wally).

She is survived by: her sons, Barry Briggs (Carmen) and Scott Briggs (Cindy); and her grandchildren, Shayna Stahl (Daniel), Bradyn Briggs, Kaylee Briggs and Colby Briggs.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations in Shirley's memory to a charity of your choice or to a garden association so her love of flowers and nature may continue to bloom in the lives of others.
