Florence Theodore (Irvine) McComb Obituary

On June 15, Florence went home to her saviour, with her beloved husband by her side.

Florence was the eldest of five children, born in Owen Sound, Ontario. The family lived in a log cabin in Dobbinton, Ontario until she was about 8 years old. They then moved to Fergus where she grew up. At the age of 29, she met Ray, who worked for the auditor for the Town of Fergus, and 8 months later they wed. In 1981, the family went west and settled in Grande Prairie. She worked at the hospital from 1983 until 2005 when she retired as a Unit Clerk at Mackenzie Place. She enjoyed her retirement by traveling and marching as Colour Guard in the Grande Prairie Marching Band. The group traveled to many different places around the world, including Australia, New Zealand, Brazil and China as well as 3 different trips to Europe.

In 2011 Ray and Flo purchased a home in Arizona and enjoyed snow birding for 12 years. Florence really enjoyed participating in a church sewing group fellowship with the church ladies.

Florence's health began to decline over the past 3 years where she ultimately was cared for at the Grande Prairie Care Centre.

Florence is survived by her spouse: Ray, her children: Wayne and Theodore, brother: Ronald, and Grandchildren; Tyler, Addie, Tristan and Jonathan.

Florence was predeceased by her Father, William Irvine; Mother, Doreen Irvine; Brothers, Arnold, Kenneth (Ken) and William (Bill).
