He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Mervyn and Mary Evans; his parents, William Lumsden and Amy Lumsden; his siblings, John Lumsden and Mary Addison; his parents-in-law, Carmen and Kathaleen Smith; and his brother-in-law Darryl Smith.

He is survived by: his wife Linda; his children, Rick Lumsden (Tessa), Sherry Lumsden and Lori Peterson (Glen); his grandchildren, Joselyn Peterson, Taylor Peterson, Madilyn Preduk and Barbra Preduk; and his great grandchildren, Ariana Lavoie and Skylar Lavoie.

He was always willing to lend a hand, a dedicated volunteer for seniors, strong advocate for those living with kidney disease, and an educator on importance of organ donation and transplantation.
