John Edward Medland Obituary

We are sad to announce that on August 22, 2025, at the age of 72, John Edward Medland in Hanna, Alberta, born in Toronto, Ontario passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Though John has departed this earthly realm, his legacy endures — a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate the lives of family and friends in the darkest of hours. May his spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished in the tender embrace of memory.

He was predeceased by: his parents, John Medland Sr. and Joan Fichault; and his brother Steve Medland. He is survived by: his children, Leah Medland and Nathan Medland; his grandchildren, William Paquette, Lucas Paquette, Neko Colley and Kendall Medland; and his brothers, Mike Medland and Mark Fichault. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members.
