He was predeceased by : his parents, Alphonse Kroetsch and Mary Kroetsch; his parents-in-law, Carl and Verdie; his siblings, Leo, Art, Wilfred, Jim, Ernie, Byron, Catherine, Agnes and Kay; and his son-in-law Darren.
He is survived by : his close friend Deloras (Stenson); his wife Deloras; his children, Dean (Cindy), Rosalie (Greg), Gail and Gary (Cara); his grandchildren, Brianne (Noel), Lisa (David), Aaron, Brady, Amiah, Jorgen, Anders, Halee, Tsebaot, Sarah (Cody), Alyssa (Justin), Matthew, Taylor and Trent (Jamey); and his great grandchildren, Carter, Alannah and Elaina.
Memorial donations in memory of Alfred may be made to the Big Knife Villa Senior's Van or to the Killam & District Health Care Foundation.
