He is survived by: his wife Shauna Martz; his children, Natasha and Josh Martz; and his siblings, Donna Dronyk (Ron), Randy Martz (Cyndie), Wayne Martz (Toni), Joseph Martz (Patricia) and Linda Nahajowich (Alvin).
A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 11:15 AM at the St. Martin Roman Catholic Church (313 Manning Ave, Heisler, AB T0B2A0).
If family and friends so desire, memorial contributions in James' memory may be made to a Trust Fund being set up for Joshua Martz. Wording to be as follows: "Cynthia In Trust Martz" at any Alberta Treasury Branch or donations to the Heisler Fire Department.
