She was predeceased by: her parent Leland Smith; her husband Sinclaire Richards (Claire); her sister Ella Richards; her stepmother Edith Smith (Douglas); her brothers-in-law, Erwin Richards, Edgar Richards and Havelock Richards (Lockie); and her great-niece Jessica Richards.

She is survived by: her parent Dora Smith (Perry); her daughters, Kathryn Kirby (Fred) of La Crete and Susan Richards of High Level; her grandsons, David Kirby of Camrose and Geoffrey Kirby of High Level; her brother Morton Williams (Marion) of Liverpool; and her siblings-in-law, Graham Richards (Joyce) of Bridgewater, Dorothy Richards of Liverpool and Gloria Richards of Lunenburg. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, the Alzheimer Association of Canada, the Bridgewater Baptist Church or other charity of one's choice.
