He was predeceased by: his former wife Joy; and his siblings, Wilfred, John, James, Neil, Gary "Hank" and Marie Scott.

He is survived by: his wife Nancy; his children, Cal (Wanda) of Meadowbank, Jackie Gendre (Charlie) of Sherwood Park, Keith (Rhonda) of Meadowbank, Rebecca Woods of Calgary, Jennifer Woods of Calgary, Fred Woods (Dinah) of High River and Geoffrey Woods (Christin) of Calgary; and his brother William Burgess Longson (Myrna) of Nanton. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the High River Hospital, Unit 300, c/o High River District Health Care Foundation (http://www.highriverhealthfoundation.ca).

It's with the deepest regrets that I'm unable to provide you my support in person. Uncle Cecil being my Dad's twin provided me the extra closeness. Having someone so much like him was always looked on as an added bonus. Although you were alike so much physically, you were your own man and extremely successful in all that you were a part of. "CR" was a truly great man.”
