He is survived by: his wife Margarete; his children, Carmen Hodges (Tim), Detlef Kern (Tara) and Angela Lowry (Brooks); his grandchildren, Owen, Tia (Deneb), Morgan (Mazza), Brandon, Melissa (Chris) and Parker; and his brothers, Peter Kern (Ulrike) and Werner.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church (206 9 Ave SW, High River, AB T1V1A4).
