He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerhard Friesen and Suzie Friesen (Stobbe); his siblings, Victor, Rudy and Erica (John); and his brother-in-law Jim.
He is survived by: his wife Sarah; his stepchildren, Blair and Jim; his former wife Louise (Peters); his children, Tim (Jackie), Kirsten (Jean-Francois), Roy and Dirk (Dennis); his grandchildren, Simon, Brodie, Gabrielle, Sydney (Carter), Taylor, Kassia and Ruby; his great grandchild London; his siblings, Art (Hilda), Erna (Pete) and Louise; and also David.
