It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James George Kratchmer of High River, Alberta, born in Reward, Saskatchewan, who passed away on January 29, 2024, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his wife Olga; his parents, Joseph and Mary; and his siblings, Madeline Koenig, Pauline Vetter, Adam Kratchmer, Matthew Kratchmer, Simon Kratchmer, Peter Kratchmer and Leon Kratchmer.

He is survived by : his children, Lynell Robinson (Ken), Todd Kratchmer (Carla), Mary Dawn Smith (Ken) and Christine Ringuette (Lorne).

Val Berg wrote a sympathy message

“We were saddened to hear that Uncle Jim passed away. We will always remember him. He lived life to its fullest. I never saw him angry--only a smile on his face.
