She was predeceased by: her parents, Jim Updike and Mary Updike; her sisters-in-law, Sharon Perman Updike and Linda Doherty (Marlin Kirk); her brothers, Jim and Mike Updike; Penny.

She is survived by: her spouse Marlin Kirk; her sister Francie Hancharuk (Gilbert); her sibling's children, Jamie (Frog), Jason Hancharuk (Natasha), Jaci Updike (Rory), Angie Loewen (Darren) and Kate Updike; her siblings-in-law, Darwin Kirk (Elaine), Maggie Updike and Colleen Bateman (Robert); and her sibling's children, Sue Tegart (Jeff), Crystal Graham, Chris Doherty (Bev) and Adam Bateman. She is also survived by several great-nieces and great-nephews, along with many cousins.

Memorial donations may be made to Sheep River Health Trust for Diamond Valley Oilfields General Hospital, palliative care project.
