The passing of Melody Wings (High River, Alberta) leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on May 27, 2025 at the age of 61. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ruth Wings and Pat Crop-Eared Wolf; her brother Aloysius Wings; her grandparents, Emil, Maggie Wings, Aloysius and Theresa Crop Eared Wolf; her aunts and uncles, Minnie, Dan, Ada Weasel Moccasin, Jim Sr., Rosie Red Crow Sr., Mike Sr., Mary Louise Oka, Flora Creighton, Emil, Irene Wings, Harry, Agnes Shade, Joe, Reggie and Alan Tailfeathers; her brothers-in-law, Wilbert, Lenny, Sonny and Neil Yellow Wings; her nieces and nephews, Shayla Wings, Amelia Willows, Trudy Warrior, Terrace Yellow Wings, Bobby Goodrider, Leeboy Wings and Maddox Yellow Wings; and her cousins, Alva, Cordell, Daniel Jr., Weasel Moccasin, Joe Jr., Louis, Angie, Lillian, Terance, Donovan and Lane Tailfeathers.

She is survived by: her siblings, Jackie (Mike), Patsy (Roy), Patrick, Belva (Bill), Judy (Bill), Carol, Derrick (Fay Anne), Cammie (Joe) and Maxine Big (Floyd); her husband Patrick Yellow Wings; her children, Travis, Renee and Blair; her great-aunt Rose Marie Tailfeathers; her grandsons, Taylor, Ryder and Kesler; her sisters-in-law, Rebecca and Dolly; and her extended family, Crop Eared Wolfs, Weasel Moccasins, Blackwaters, Twiggs, Tallows, Shades, Red Crows, Creightons and Cottons. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

A celebration of life will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the Yellow Wings Residence. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
