Shane Earp Obituary

The family of Shane Earp sadly announces his sudden passing. Shane was called home on Friday, October 20, 2023, at Strathmore, Alberta. Shane was born on November 10, 1995, in the town of Blairmore, Alberta.

Shane's father, Greg, passed away in 1996. Only a year after Shane was born. Although he never got to know his father, he continued to carry so much of his dads traits; including his features, heredities, strengths and his humbleness for all human nature and all humankind.

Shane was reunited with his mother, Michelle, in 2017. Since then, Shane continued to bond with his mother. He shared stories of his childhood with his mom, both hurtful and grateful. They talked a lot about family; family they both lost and gained. Mom says these were precious moments.

Shane completed his education in the town of High River, Alberta along with his brother Monty. Shane and Monty grew up together, mostly in the foster care system. They did not have much choice but to live the way they were told. Shane spent his whole life with Monty. Mom recognized they were close, but distant. Though they showed the love and respect for each other. Her sons had good differences in a special way, which made them unique and one of a kind in moms eyes.

Shane was gifted with his talents of drawing, painting, and poetry. He also had passion for reading about life and what the world was all about.

Shane is survived by his mother, Michelle Earp; step father, Brian First Charger; siblings Kayla Loyer, Cohen White Eagle, Monte Earp, Summer D, Jada and Isaia First Charger, Vernon Tyler, and Staycie Earp; aunts Micheline Rabbi, Staycie Provost, Alta, Natalie Earp and Nelly Novello; Uncles Mark and Brad Earp; and Paternal grandparents Joseph and Annabelle Earp.

Shane was predeceased by his father Gregory Carl Earp; his maternal grandparents Michaels White Eagle and Roberta Iron Shirt; and aunts Deborah and Leann White Eagle.

Shane will always be remembered by his welcoming smile, the humbleness we had for everyone around him, and the great respect he had for human nature and all of God's creations.

A Celebration of Shane's Life will be held at Michelle Earp's Residence, House 22 Map 3A at 3 pm on Friday, October 27th, 2023 with feast to follow.

The family would like to thank Snodgrass Funeral Homes, Strathmore EMS, Strathmore RCMP, Siksika Crisis Membership and Public Works.
