He was predeceased by: his parents, Nick Wowniar and Katherine Wowniar; his stepfather John Lupul; his sister Pearl Letwin; and his stepbrothers, Victor and Walter Lupul.

He is survived by: his wife Clare; his children, Trevor Wowniar (Leona) and Tamara Mago (Jeffrey); and his grandchildren, Malaya, Kira, Tyler and Mia.
