It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of William Wowniar of High River, Alberta, born in Lamont, Alberta, who passed away on October 31, 2023, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Nick Wowniar and Katherine Wowniar; his stepfather John Lupul; his sister Pearl Letwin; and his stepbrothers, Victor and Walter Lupul.

He is survived by : his wife Clare; his children, Trevor Wowniar (Leona) and Tamara Mago (Jeffrey); and his grandchildren, Malaya, Kira, Tyler and Mia.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association .

Les Ryll wrote a sympathy message

“I will really miss Bill as he and Clare have been long time friends.. There is some comfort in knowing that he was a part of my life and l a part of his. So glad that we recently had a long phone conversation. Bill enjoyed a fun time. I recall the many Xmas parties, dances, barbecues ( he was an excellent cook) their 25th wedding anniversary on the acreage near Gibbons . Bill also had a real knack in salesmanship. Bill do not RIP. Keep busy as you were here”
