Leonard Menzies Obituary

We announce the death of Leonard Menzies in Hilda, Alberta, who passed away on August 17, 2026, at the age of 95. He was predeceased by: his mother Hilda Menzies (Miller); his friends, Ed and Doug; his sister Ramnik; his wife Betty; his children, Stacey and David; and his brother-in-law Ted Furze.

He is survived by: his father John "Jack" Alvin Menzies; his niece Lynn; his children, Bruce (Eva Resovsky) of Calgary, Craig (Teresa) of Kingston and Heather Campbell (Greg) of Swift Current; his grandchildren, Shauna Poitras (Charlie Brown) of Red Deer, Tania Mohr of Nanaimo, Trisha Mohr (Richard Hornez) of Nanaimo, Marcus Menzies (Sydney) of Calgary, Emily Menzies (Motoki Hirata) of Calgary, Nicholas Menzies (Sandi Yen) of Oxford, England, Samantha Chapman (Justin) of Kingston, Jacqueline Menzies of Inuvik, Tara Campbell (Sophie) and Sean Campbell of Regina; his great grandchildren, Thomas Klassen-Mohr, Bodhi Mohr, Tayden, Jacob, Addison Mohr, Eloise Menzies, Theodore, Maeve, Felix Chapman and Miles Menzies; and his siblings, Clifford Menzies (Shirley) and Shirley Furze. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

A burial will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Mount Pleasant Burial Park Columbarium.
