He was predeceased by : his wife Alma Roussel; his parents, Gordon Doherty and Hazel Doherty; his sister Darlene; his granddaughter Alexis; and his parents-in-law, Tony and Marie Roussel.

He is survived by : his stepchildren, Darcy, Amber (Colin) and Darla (David); his grandchildren, Cyenna, Aaron and Lincoln; and his siblings, Don (Deb), Ellie, Doreen and Lorna (Richard). He is also survived by his children and grandchildren.
