He is survived by: his wife Larissa Shaw; his parents, George Shaw Sr. and Becky Shaw; his brothers, George Jr. and Erich (Cara); his nephews, Marcus and Miles; his parents-in-law, Bryn and Colinda Chambers; and his brother-in-law Devin. He is also survived by numerous relatives and many friends.

“Kurtis was someone who got me into a hobby I now love, he was a man of a profound generosity for those he cherished, and albeit sometimes horrendous jokes, he was always ready to level with someone if a joke went too far or if they needed wisdom. He is a friend I will miss deeply and someone that I am devastated was taken so early. He will be missed and I can only hope that those who have been also been devastated by his passing will be able to hold on to the wisdom and joy he brought the world.”
