We announce the death of Lana Cardinal (Kikino, Alberta), who passed away on September 8, 2026, at the age of 68. Lana will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Gilbert Ladouceur and Beatrice Ladouceur; her brothers, Erwin Ladouceur, Harold Ladouceur, Vernon Ladouceur, Leo Ladouceur, Randall Ladouceur and Larry Ladouceur; her nephew Harold Steinhauer; and her nieces, Kathy Ladouceur and Baby Amber.
She is survived by: her husband Gerald Cardinal; her children, Shannon Cardinal (Carl), Krystyn Cardinal (Gregory) and Justin Cardinal (Michele); her grandchildren, Dylan Cardinal (MacKenzie), Trenton Cardinal, Tayton Cardinal, Madison Cardinal (Brandon), Grayson Cardinal, Cohen Cardinal, Anika Cardinal and Miley Cardinal; her great grandchildren, Maria Boucher-Cardinal, Sage Cardinal, Autum Wanyandie, Athena Wanyandie, Amara Anderson, Ares Anderson and Noelle Bruno; and her siblings, Teresa Steinhauer (Arnold), Donna Ladouceur-Dion (Ken), Karen White and David (Shirley).
A wake was held on Sunday, September 13th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the Kikino Community Hall. A prayer was held on Sunday, September 13th 2026 at 7:00 PM at the Kikino Community Centre (310 14th St, Kikino Metis Settlement, AB T0A2B0). A funeral service was held on Monday, September 14th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
