He was predeceased by : his parents, Anders Snethun and Inga Snethun; his nephews, Tage Snethun and Erik Snethun; his brothers, Andy, Lars and Peter; and his sister-in-law Isobel Snethun.

He is survived by : his wife Lorraine Severson; his children, Ray Jim (Teresa) and Pat Davidson (Calvin); his daughter-in-law Teresa; his grandchildren, John (Cheryl), Brent (Nicole), Scott, Jill (Andy), Cheryl (Aaron), Dana (Brandon), Alicia (Ryan), Aaron and Nina; his great grandchildren, Avery, Joel, Bridget Snethun, Corbin, Aspen Snethun, Jack Snethun, Cael Perrot, Brinley and Austin Siminiuk; his brother Kris (Wilma); and his sisters-in-law, Katie Snethun, Donna Snethun and Elsie Olstrom (Borge). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
