He was predeceased by : his wife Kay (Grieser); his parents, Bob Banks and Alma Banks; his siblings, Stanley Banks, Claire Saunders, Allan Banks and Joyce Cave (Doug); his daughter Lynn Goutbeck; and his son-in-law Ken Bownes.

He is survived by : his children, Linda Bownes, Penny McNabb (Bruce) and Stan Banks (Gina); his son-in-law Ken Goutbeck; his grandchildren, Steve Bownes (Kim), Sheri Bownes (Diego), Lea Rompfer (Paul), Bobby McNabb (Larissa), Kenny Banks (Liz), Kyra Merritt (Dillon) and Kelly Banks; and his great grandchildren, Angela, Caitlin, Brendan, Jacob, Hailey, Christopher, Georgia, Leon, Emiliano, Chase, Drew, Mira, Archer, Dawson and Kasey.
