He was predeceased by: his wife Hazel Kumpula; his brother Calvin Kumpula; his parents, Gus Kumpula and Jenny Kumpula; and his sister-in-law Louise Kumpula.
He is survived by: his sons, Ellis Kumpula (Yvette), Elwood Kumpula and Tony Kumpula (Alvina); his grandchildren, Trevor Kumpula (Deanna), Gavin Kumpula (Karen), Kristen Berezanski (Brad), Dean Kumpula (Lauren) and Dwayne Kumpula (Rochelle); and his great grandchildren, Jackson, Lexy, Elizabeth Kumpula, Elodie, Beckett Berezanski, Rowan, Sutton, Laiyn Kumpula, Kale and Erikka Kumpula.
