He was predeceased by: his father Stanley Froehler; his mother-in-law Lorna McDonald; and his uncle Larry Brekko. He is survived by: his wife Carrie Froehler; his children, Trevor Froehler, Ryan Froehler (Rhonda), Ashley Kilmer (Christopher) and Kelsey Froehler (Mark); his grandchildren, Everett Kilmer, Leelou Froehler and Ava Froehler; his mother Beryl Froehler; his siblings, Tim Froehler (Hélène), Jeff Froehler (Melannee), Rod Froehler, Brad Froehler (Steph) and Carina Hanson (Hank); his father-in-law Keith McDonald (Irma); his siblings-in-law, Robbie Richard and Murray McDonald (Natasha); his nieces and nephews, Rachelle, Mitch (Madison), Chantal (Taryn) and Janelle; his godchildren, Randi (Brandon), Shea, Barrett, Amy (Sydney), Meg, Jack, Hailey (Mike), Jake, Ben (Andrea), Laura, Paul, Taylor, Spencer and Madison; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Easton, Nixon, Brynlee, Remy, Tatum, Teighan, Kai, Enzo, Mya, Sadie and Sequoia; and his godsons, Christopher Dempsey and Andrew Davis.
