Raymond Diesel Obituary

We announce the death of Raymond Diesel of Lac la Biche, Alberta, who passed away on September 20, 2026, at the age of 98. Raymond will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his wife Helen Diesel; his daughter Opal Diesel; his siblings, Clyde Diesel, Robert Diesel, Ludwig Diesel and Bertha Sawchuk; and his stepbrother James Gregoire.

He is survived by: his children, Janice Shelton (Tyran), Duane Diesel (Teresa) and David Diesel (Paula); his grandchildren, Graeme Diesel (Carly), Cymantha Diesel (Chad), Courtney McGean (Kenny), Braelynn Zelisko (Micheal), Michael Diesel (Kristen), Joshua Diesel, Emily Robin (Bailey), Jolene Yackimec (Tyler), Cori Moser (Chris), Tyler Shelton, Derek Diesel, Jonah Diesel and Victoria Diesel; his great grandchildren, Octavia McGean, Mika McGean, Drew Yackimec, Travis Yackimec, Evelyn Moser and Gabriel Moser; and his stepsister Ramona Lein.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Owl River Community Hall.
