She was predeceased by: her parents, Arend Van (Iest) and Neeltje Jansma. She is survived by: her siblings, Froukje Bosga, Gerrit Van, Iest and Jellie Hielkema; her husband Sjoerd Post; her children, Petra Bierkos-Post, Brian Post (Iwa) and Arend Post (Claire); her grandchildren, Callista Bierkos, Arielle Fortin (Nico), Schuyler Bierkos, Gabrielle Wilton (Matthew), Eli Post, Leah Billey (Dylan) and Nathan Post; and her great grandchildren, Alexander, Abigail, Michael (Wilton), Aurora, Tayelle, Willow and Elowyn (Fortin).
Visitation was held on Friday, March 6th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Wilson's Funeral Chapel (6120 Hwy 2A, Lacombe, Alberta T4L2G5). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, March 7th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Sonrise Christian Reformed Church (424032 Range Rd 255, Ponoka, AB T4J1A1). A burial was held on Saturday, March 7th 2026 at the Ponoka Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly suggests donations to MOSAIC or the Alzheimer's Society of Canada.
