He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Suelzle and Susan Suelzle; his stepparents, Frank Fordyce, Helen Suelzle and Ellen Suelzle; and his in-laws, Elva and Walter Olsson.
He is survived by: his wife Merlo; his sons, LonDell, Leon (Sharleen) and Michael; his grandchildren, Justin (Heather), Taylor (Shauna), Levi, Natalie, Gillian and Jade; his great grandchildren, Hudson and Jessie; his sisters, Judy Cass and Sandra Suelzle; his half-brother Rodney Fordyce; his stepsister Joyce Peyton; and his stepfather Ernie Andrus. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 22nd 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Ponoka First Baptist Church (5109 57 Ave, Ponoka, AB T4J1R5).
