We announce the death of Raymond Merkus (Lacombe, Alberta), who passed away on July 3, 2026, at the age of 88. He was predeceased by: his daughter-in-law Vicki. He is survived by: his wife Eleanor Nanninga; his children, Clark, Crystal Hoekstra (René) and Glen Merkus (Bernie); and his friend Edmonton. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and their partners; and eleven great grandchildren.
