He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Hatala and Lillian Hatala; his in-laws, Howard and May Smith; his siblings, John and Diane Simpson; and his sister-in-law Rose Hatala.
He is survived by: his wife Elaine; his son Randy (Susan); his grandchildren, Michael (Jenna), Brandon (Alexandra) and Stefanie; his great grandchild Luka; his daughter Cindy (Norman); his grandchildren, Justin and Amy (Daniel); and his brothers, Gerald, Brian and Danny. He is also survived by numerous in-laws, nieces and nephews, and many dear friends.
