He was predeceased by: his sister Erna; his parents, Fredrick and Emilie; his siblings, Elsie, Albert, William, Helmut and Arthur; and his wife Ruth Bittner.

He is survived by: his children, Ken (Martha), Walter (Joyce), Lorraine Wrubleski (Dave) and Sherrill Gering (Glenn).
