He was predeceased by: his parents, Tom and Mary Ann; his brothers, Tom and James; his brother-in-law Seymour Hynes; and his siblings' children, Kimberly Tucker-Caines and Bartlett Hynes.
He is survived by: his significant other Leah Ofstedahl; his children, Kieran Baines of Brayden Benedict, Caleb, Camryn and Jaedyn; and his siblings, Una Hynes (Russell), Phyllis Tucker (Tom), Juanita Hynes, Angeline Locke (Willis), Derrick Baines (Holly), Wilf Baines (Annette) and Ted Baines. He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the University of Alberta Mazenkowski Clinic, or Stollery Children's Hospital.
