He was predeceased by: his father Henry Sych. He is survived by: his wife Marlene Sych; his children, Daniel Sych (Christine) and Julie Lien (Jason); his grandchildren, Emma, Hailey, Kenton, Harrison, Rayna, Carter, Sierra, Georgia and Zenon; his mother Sophie Sych; and his brothers, Morris Sych (Theresa) and Jerry Sych. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Alberta or to St. Michael's Planning for Tomorrow Fund.
