He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Pomeranz and Bertha Pomeranz. He is survived by: his wife Janet; his sons, Darren (Michelle) and Darrel (Monique); his grandchildren, Taylor (Azaria), Clayton (Travis), Landyn, Kyle, Kody and Makayla; his stepgrandson Stephen of Brooke, Lucas; his great grandchild Camryn; and his sisters, Edith Senft (Harvey) and Weinhandl. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

If friends desire, donations in Virgil's memory may be made to the Leduc Community Hospital Foundation (4210 48 St, Leduc, AB T9E 5Z3) or a charity of one's choice.
