He was predeceased by: his parents, Abram Pauls and Katherina Pauls; his wife Anne; his stepmother Helen (Anne); and his siblings, Abram, John, Peter, Katherine "Tina" Regehr, Margaret "Marge" Burwash and Helen "Lena" Boschman.
He is survived by: his siblings, David Pauls (Iris), Ann Traber, Lydia Sawatsky (Alvin) and Janet Braun; and his sister-in-law Eva Pauls. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild.
