Dale Poytress Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Dale Poytress of Lethbridge, Alberta, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 16, 2025 at the age of 63. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Dale leaves behind and his impact on the lives of his loved ones. Though Dale may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the memories held dear by his family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
He was predeceased by: his father Charles Alfred; and his brother Glen Poytress. He is survived by: his mother Joan Marie Poytress (Littlewood); his children, Jennifer Renee Hyggen (Blake), Matthew Shawn Poytress (Christina) and Andrew Paul Poytress; and his siblings, Alan Poytress (Lorraine), Lynn Knight (Gary) and Faye Funa (Tevita). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Monday, October 27th 2025 at 2:00 PM and on Tuesday, October 28th 2025 at 6:00 AM at the Northside Chapel, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (2213 6a Ave N, Lethbridge, AB T1H0X1).
In lieu of flowers, and in keeping with what Shawn would have wanted, the family invites you to honour his memory by supporting what he loved most — his grandchildren.
