She was predeceased by: her husband Gary Schimanski; her parents, Heinrich Ankermann and Nathalie Ankermann; and her siblings, Wanda Schoenbrunn (Hubert) and Ervin Ankermann.
She is survived by: her children, Arnold Brenner of Calgary, Klaus Brenner (Jane) of Taber, Monica Gibb of Cardston and Kurt Brenner of Lethbridge; and her brother Walter Ankermann (Ann) of Picture Butte. She is also survived by loving Oma to her twelve grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren, and five great, great grandchildren.
