It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Hanako Hamabata (Lethbridge, Alberta), who passed away on July 24, 2025, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family in the guestbook on this memorial page of Hanako Hamabata to show support.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Kamasuke Hamabata and Chiduka Hamabata; her grandparents, Giichi, Usuban Hamabata, Toshitaro and Chiya Tanaka; and her sisters, LaVerne Hisako Hamabata and Cheryl Taeko Prins.
She is survived by: her children, Shaun McKague and Charlene Palate (Joseph); her siblings, Happy Smith, Louise Harrison (Jim), Duane Kenneth and Lindsay Hamabata (Cindy); and her brothers-in-law, David Major and Joe Prins. She is also survived by nephews and eight grand-neices and nephews in Canada and numerous cousins.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 1st 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Buddhist Temple (470 40 St S, Lethbridge, AB T1J3Z5).
