She was predeceased by: her parents, Kamasuke Hamabata and Chiduka Hamabata; her grandparents, Giichi, Usuban Hamabata, Toshitaro and Chiya Tanaka; and her sisters, LaVerne Hisako Hamabata and Cheryl Taeko Prins.
She is survived by: her children, Shaun McKague and Charlene Palate (Joseph); her siblings, Happy Smith, Louise Harrison (Jim), Duane Kenneth and Lindsay Hamabata (Cindy); and her brothers-in-law, David Major and Joe Prins. She is also survived by nephews and eight grand-neices and nephews in Canada and numerous cousins.
If one wishes, donations can be made in memory of Hanako Nadine Hamabata to the Buddhist Temple of Southern Alberta.
