He was predeceased by: his wife Carole; his daughter Susan; his parents, Gerardus and Hendrika; and his siblings, Garry, Cor, Francis, Marie, Gonda, Gerdie and Rita.
He is survived by: his children, Garry Hurkens (Colleen), Sheila Cook (Sandy) and Sandra Price (Rob); and his sisters, Toni (Adolf), Nellie (Steve), Lia (Albert) and Joey. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Sandman Signature Lethbridge Lodge (320 Scenic Dr S, Lethbridge, AB T1J4B4).
