He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Lander and Elsie Mae Buckingham; his daughter Julie Lander; and his grandsons, Skyler Potrie and Darian Lander.
He is survived by: his wife Valerie Christine Smith; his children, Stuart Richard Lander (Julie Anne Castleberry), Alexis Valerie Parrott (Brent Ellis), Deana Christine Lander (Marcell Langenberg), Carrie Angelina Lander (Barry Bezire) and John Howard Lander; and his sisters, Cheryl Cope (Norman) and Sharon Harvey (Neal). He is also survived by 19 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
