He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Jacob J. Barkman and Anna Toews Barkman; his aunts and uncles, Margaret, Claude, Frank, Ben, Annie and Rose; his children, Jeff (Elaine), Burt (Cindy), Margaret of Fort Vermilion, AB, Gerald (Cecile) and Doris (Roy Toews); his niece Heather Barkman; and his siblings-in-law, Peter (Rose Dueck) and Bernice Baerg. He was also cherished by Mom, Dad's five brothers, five sisters, four infant siblings and Mom's four brothers and four sisters.
