He is survived by : his wife Mona Payne; his sons, Brad Payne (Janice), Harvey Payne (Susan), Rocky Payne (Debbie), Mark Payne (Doris) and Scott Payne (Jackie); his grandchildren, Kevin Payne (Carmen), Chad Payne (Cassie), Shawn Payne, Jana Rutherford (Pat), Tara Koppel (Dan), Cole Payne (Angie), Kyle Payne (Sydney), Neal Payne, Brendan Payne (Bryn), Dalton Payne (Colby), Jayden Payne (Leah) and Jaxon Payne (Halley); his great grandchildren, Haley, Brody, Codie, Caidyn, Serena, Natalie, Emily, David, Carter, Chloe, Claire, Cobi, Kylor, Kinley and Rowan; his sister Evelyn McKay (Gordon); his sisters-in-law, Fay Payne and Donna Manley; and his son Greenwood Limousin. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Bernie may be made to Greenwood Community Centre.
