She was predeceased by: her husband Wilfred Opissionow; her daughter Veronica Thompson; her parents, Samuel Thompson and Christine Thompson; and her siblings, Howie, Johas Ira, Nelson, Otto, Dennis, Ron, Hubert, James Thompson, Catherine Mantee and Sarah Thunder.
She is survived by: her children, Valentina (Leslie), Vanora (Dwayne), Wilfred Samual (Noella), Marlene and Darlene; her son-in-law Eugene Dufresne; her siblings, Stewart Thomposon and Alvina Poitras; her adoptive children, Lisa Thompson, Kelly Muskwa (Shelly), Cindia Johnson (Winston), Selina Singer, Tanya Stonechild, Virgina Jimmy, Priscilla Thunder, Millie Thunder, Steven Thunder and Dwayne; her pet Latisha Perkins; her nieces, Cindy Carter, Vanessa Opissinow, Delilah Stanley and Jessica Thompson; her grandchildren, Danielle, Darnielle, Gabriel, Pheonix, Corbin, Bryson, Kyrah, Zoey, Rebecca, Brandon, Ryder, Kalayn, Eli, Tomas and Ally; and her great grandchildren, Vanetta, Joyce and Kohen.
A wake was held on Friday, January 30th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Onion Lake Memorial. A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 31st 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
