It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Gustave Schmidt (Lloydminster, Alberta), who passed away on August 25, 2023, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Simon Schmidt and Veronica Schmidt; and his siblings, Valentine Schmidt, Margaret Schmidt, Ann Ste, Marie, George Schmidt, Tony Schmidt, Ralph Schmidt, Rose Moser, Paul Schmidt and Joe Schmidt.

He is survived by: his wife Helga; his children, James Schmidt, Sheryl Luck and Sheldon Schmidt; his grandchildren, Megan Luck (Shaun Gair) and Mitchell Luck; and his siblings, Betty Robertson, John Schmidt (Barbara), Minard Schmidt and Mary Mazurek. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Gus may be made to Canadian Red Cross or Canadian Wildlife Federation.
