He was predeceased by : his parents, Fred Highton and Margaret Highton; and his siblings, Charles, Rose, Darlene Dumont, Mary Porochnavy and Marjorie.

He is survived by : his wife Marilyn; his siblings, Lillian Ross, Dorothy Hartel, Hazel Pooler, Fred Highton (Bernice), Freda Gerhardt, Judy Closen, Lloyd Highton (Germaine), Harvey Highton (Brenda), Albert Highton (Shirley), Harry Highton (Rosina), Dianne Pischke (Ben) and Barbara Shoaf; and his sister-in-law Jo Klassen. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
