He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Tomayer and Rosalia Tomayer; his stepmother Evelyn; and his siblings, Anne Taylor (Dan), Helen Meier (Bill), Theodore (Ted), Don and Bill.
He is survived by: his wife Sara; his children, John (Pam), Shane (Jackie) and Amanda; his grandchildren, Scott, Bredan, Éva, Camryn and CJ; his sisters, Carol Holtzman (Keith) and Kaye Jorgensen (Pete); and his sisters-in-law, Vivian (Ted) and Elaine (Don).
A memorial service was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the McCaw Funeral Chapel (5101 50 St, Lloydminster, AB T9V0M2).
