He was predeceased by : his granddaughter Ainsley Watchel; his parents, Alexander Watchel and Ann Watchel; and his siblings, Leona Watson (Vern), Vicki Clysdale (Noble) and Elmer Watchel.

He is survived by : his children, Tracy Watchel of Lloydminster and Drew Watchel of Lashburn; his grandchildren, Chad Watchel (NJ), Payton Watchel, Harper Watchel, Finley Watchel and Jacob Watchel; and his siblings, Sadie Pinski (Les) of Lloydminster, Della Thom (Lyle) of Lloydminster, Rick Watchel (Lana) of Cold Lake and Jim Watchel of Lloydminster. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
