She was predeceased by: her husband Arthur; her parents, James Leslie and Jane Leslie; her siblings, Jack Leslie, Andy Leslie, Jean Fouty and Catherine Ewanchuk; and her son-in-law Bronson Rhinehart.

She is survived by: her children, Gerald Mason (Sheila), Carol Rhinehart and Richard Mason (Shelley); her grandchildren, Sherri Kerr (Jeremy), Jason Rhinehart (Ashley), Adam Rhinehart, Zachary Mason, Naomi Hajian (Gabriel), Kenneth Mason and Jonathan Mason; and her great grandchildren, Logan, Duncan, Tristan Kerr, Carter, Benjamin and Katelynn Rhinehart.

Donations in memory of Margaret may be made to the Lloydminster Regional Health Foundation Palliative Care or to a charity of donor's choice.
