She was predeceased by: her husband John Van Metre; her granddaughter Kassidy Hutchinson; her siblings, Glenn (Vera), Murray, Doug (Mary), Gordon, Neil Orr and Patsy Newman; and her brother-in-law Don McKechnie.
She is survived by: her children, John Carson Van Metre and Laurie Parke (Keven); her grandchildren, Cody Hutchinson and Kalli Keichinger (Garrett); her great grandchildren, Jace and Theo Keichinger; her sisters, Audrey McKechnie and Gayle Henschel; and her siblings-in-law, Myrna Orr, Ethel Newman, Russell Newman and Colin Henschel. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 29th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Lashburn Community Hall (97 1 St E, Lashburn, SK S0M1H0).
